Fair Trade Calgary
Fair Trade Calgary is a subgroup within the non-for-profit organization Engineers Without Borders.  The subgroup has been in existence for over five years, and advocates for fair trade principles in Calgary. A significant action Calgary can take to show leadership in supporting fair trade principles, which ultimately aim to improve the lives of small-scale farmers in marginalized nations and reduce world poverty, is by becoming a designated Fair Trade Town.  Principles of fair trade support actions benefitting almost all of the Sustainable Development Goals.  Fair Trade Calgary would like to see a revolution in the way consumers think about the items they purchase.
